Blake McCarn
Instructor, ChoreographerBlake began dancing at the age of 3 and grew up dancing in the Charlotte area. With a love and passion for the art of dance, he competed in the fields of jazz, tap, contemporary, hip hop, ballet, acro, and musical theatre. Blake's accomplishments include becoming Junior Mr. Dance of North Carolina, Mr. West Coast, six semi-final appearances and two final appearances at Showstoppers National Finals Shows, and making it all the way to Las Vegas in Season 3 of "So You Think You Can Dance."
Blake has worked and studied under master teachers such as Jason Parsons, Ryan & Tina Cephert, Dee & Dennis Caspery, Tina D'Amato, Wes Veldink, and many others. As an instructor, choreographer, Blake has been awarded numerous top choreography awards and has numerous top 10 placements.
Blake has a B.S. in Psychology and Biology from UNC-Charlotte. In his spare time, Blake enjoys playing soccer and tennis.
Joining our faculty in 2010, Blake feels he has found a home with Steps 'N Motion.
