Robyn Richards-Gribble
Instructor/ChoreographerRobyn Richards-Gribble trained extensively at the Torrington School of Ballet, American Ballet School, American Ballet Theater, and North Carolina School of the Arts. Her teachers included Sharon Dante; Marti Masters; Edward Villella; Carol Sumner, former soloist of the New York City Ballet; and Erling Sunde, former ballet master for the Royal Ballet. She attended United States International University on both talent and academic scholarships. After graduating Magna Cum Laude, Robyn joined American Festival Ballet and toured the northwest as a soloist. She has also danced with Spartanburg Ballet Company and has done guest appearances with San Diego Opera Company and San Diego Ballet Company. Roles have included lead fairy in "Cinderella," "Valse Fantasy," sister in "Beaches," Spanish in "The Nutcracker," and spirit from "Firebird." Robyn also performed in numerous plays and musicals that include the role of Helen in "The Miracle Worker," and Louise in "Carousel." In addition to her ballet training, Robyn studied jazz, lyrical, modern, and tap. She has attended many conventions, workshops, and master classes as well as attended classes in New York at Broadway Dance Center and Steps on Broadway as part of her continuing dance education. Robyn has choreographed and taught classes to all levels and ages. Her competition pieces have won both regional and national recognition, and her performance pieces have delighted local audiences. Robyn and her husband Greg have three daughters, Chelsea, Alyssa, and Tori, all whom dance.
