Sabrina LeClair, Director

Sabrina LeClair, Director and founder of Steps ‘N Motion Dance Studio,  began dancing in when she was 3 years old and participated in a wide variety of community performances as a young girl.   She and her two sisters were the first junior dancers to perform on TV’s Kilgo’s Canteen – a spinoff of American Bandstand filmed here in Charlotte.  Sabrina attended UNC-Charlotte and majored in Early Childhood Education and Dance.  In September 1981, Sabrina realized a life-long dream when she opened “Sabrina’s Dance Studio” in a one room space off Wilgrove Mint Hlll Road in Mint Hill.   With a total of 25 students and an eagerness to inspire and teach through dance, Sabrina’s career had begun.

Over the years, the studio name changed to Steps ‘N Motion and settled into a larger location in Mint Hill as well as a location in south Charlotte.  In 2003, Sabrina opened a studio in Wesley Chapel bringing a solid dance program to that community.

As 2004 began, The Fountains” was still a venture on paper.  In order for it to become a reality, Sabrina made the difficult decision to close the Mint Hill studio, which had been teaching the art of dance for 24 years.    In October of 2006, she opened Steps ‘N Motion at The Fountains and in June 2007, she opened Phase 2 (the Annex) next door to the current location.

With locations at The Fountains and Wesley Chapel, Steps ‘N Motion is proud to be considered Charlotte's most progressive and innovative dance school.   Sabrina continues to put her heart and soul into the studio which offers traditional values as well as a versatile and talented staff. Sabrina and her husband Jeff have 3 grown children, Jared, Joshua, and Sydney.
